Working on Tukums Cultural Strategy: A Reflection

Mon 16 Dec 2019

Our Latvian partners Baltic Studies Centre (BSC) and Tukums municipality work together to develop a cultural strategy for preserving cultural heritage and organising cultural life in the municipality. At the end of November, the municipality organised a workshop with local stakeholders in order to present the findings of researchers and to perform a collective SWOT analysis of cultural life, institutions, and governance in the region. The workshop sparked a critical and open discussion, during which participants identified the most pressing challenges that must be addressed when working on the cultural strategy. Read a reflection about the discussion in this blog post by Emil Kilis, a researcher at the BSC.
